For the first time, attendance during the 2012 SEC Baseball tournament will be tracked real-time using a mobile scanning solution developed by 2B Solutions. Handheld devices running Windows mobile and 2B-Events, our mobile attendance tracking software, will be used to scan barcodes and validate the authenticity of approximately 130,000 tickets during the six day tournament that starts today.
2B-Events integrates with a database of all tickets and ticket numbers stored on a server in the cloud. When a ticket is scanned, the data is immediately checked against the ticket database and logged for reporting – all in about 1.4 seconds. A warning message is immediately displayed on the screen if the ticket has already been used or is a duplicate. This system helps prevent ticket fraud and provides the tournament with real-time attendance figures.
