One of our customers needed a quick and easy way to see all of the information needed to schedule eye exams and eye glasses for children. Using Microsoft CRM’s Inline Frame (IFRAME) capability and Microsoft Virtual Earth, we were able to provide all of the critical information in a way that made appointment scheduling very easy.

By pushing the Latitude and Longitude of the Child and Doctor records to Microsoft Virtual Earth, the following map is returned to the record in Microsoft CRM. The Child location is indicated by the red push pin, and each of the Doctors by green push pins. A red Range Ring indicates 20 miles from the Child, to give the user a sense of scale.

By hovering over any push pin, the user can see information about the Doctor, including contact information, how many donated exams are remaining for the month, and what types of insurance this Doctor accepts.

As with the Doctor map, the user can hover over a push pin to see detailed information.
